This is a compact system that comes with its own housing and takes only 1-2 hours to install. It is an easy to operate semi-automatic system that’s best suited to semi-bulkers where the load doesn’t peak above the top rail. It has a spring return and before the tarp is installed the spring is pre-loaded, and depending on the length of the body the amount of turns determines the amount of tension applied. Flaps may be used with this system but only to around 16ft (5m) length bodies. Any more restricts the tarp rolling up. Without flaps and a mesh tarp this system is suitable up to 32ft (10m).
The housing is fixed to the front rail and the rope is walked to the rear of the truck. The rope pulls the pull bar and tarp along the top rail and over the tailgate, where the pull bar seats in two brackets. To uncover, the pull bar is released and the spring pulls the tarp back along the top rail and into the housing.
Transcover’s Pullcover is simple to operate: pull over your load, secure it and you’re on your way. To uncover, the Pullcover spring return roller bar retracts the sheet automatically. Each Pullcover covering system is shipped completely assembled. Expand the assembly to body width and installation is complete.
